New Decor Ideas for the New Year!

It’s a New Year so time for some new decor! I’ve been good so far. Ahem, it’s been six days. 😅 But really, I mentioned in my insta stories earlier in the week that this space needed something in the corner. It was a bit bare. A few people suggested a large potted plant, I liked the idea but wasn’t completely sold. So I used the idea, just on a much smaller scale. A black accent table and a wood house plant stand for the win! This wood house is from the new Magnolia Hearth and Hand like and I just LOVE it! It came with a terra cotta pot but I bought this separate faux plant to put in its place because terra cotta isn’t my style and doesn’t really flow well in here.

This is one of my favorite spaces to photograph because the lighting through the front door is killer! Vibrant white with black and gold accents with touches of succulents and faux greenery are bringing the modern farmhouse vibes! Am I right?! This white cubby is one of my most asked about pieces in our home. I bought this at a local shop, Urban Farmgirl in Rockford, IL. If you haven’t been and aren’t local, it’s WORTH THE TRIP! It’s truly the cutest shop and her refinished furniture is absolutely stunning!
