St. Mary’s Holiday Bazaar – Join us!

 
Hi friends! I’m super excited to be a part of the Holiday Bazaar taking place at St. Mary’s on Saturday, November 23rd from 1:00-7:00 PM in Sycamore. Hours recently have been extended! 
There will be many local artisans there including the cutest hair accessories by Becki of Frills {I mean did you see the hair bow (#3) she designed to match my daughter’s Christmas dress – she hand painted those sparkly polka dots!}

 Kristi of Threading Marigolds will also be there with her adorable holiday poms!

 Those are just to name a few!

Stop by and see us – we’ll be there with many of our handmade holiday signs – along with a few new never before seen signs. {Yay!} I’ll also have many holiday card designs on hand for you to look at – and Shhh! I may even be passing out a COUPON. New Little Miss 1st Birthday Invitations

I’m just loving these new Chalkboard “Little Miss” 1st Birthday Invitations available in the shop! There are a few different color options but if you don’t see one you’re looking for – just message me and I can adjust the colors to your theme! 🙂

New Handmade Holiday Signs

 
 My husband has been working hard on some fresh, new holiday signs this year. I just love these adorable North Pole signs – they are handmade and even light up! The lights are battery operated and can be set to twinkling or on/off.  They are just the cutest and pictures don’t do them justice!

Ryan also created a fun new Reindeer Crossing Sign based off of our popular Construction Sign. I just love this – and it also features the battery operated lights. I personally love them set to twinkling the best!

Happy Halloween!

Hi friends! I hope you all had a SPOOKtacular Halloween yesterday! Cami wanted to be a Witch this year and she reminded everyone that she was a GOOD Witch! Cracks me up! I made a little collage from over the years and can’t believe we just celebrated her FIFTH Halloween. She’s getting so big – I say this all the time but I just can’t believe how fast time flies. 
 We had fun BOO-ing a few of our friends and family a few weeks ago. If you haven’t done it before, I highly recommend it for next year. Cami had a blast and thought it was so cool to “sneak” to their doorstep and secretly leave some goodies. Love it.

Holiday Photo Cards 2013 {Sneak Peek}

It’s officially Fall here with cool temps and my favorite pumpkin scented candle burning. This may be my least favorite season approaching {I hate cold weather!} but it’s my most favorite time of the year with Thanksgiving and Christmas around the corner.

Love of the Week – Black + White Stripes

I think I’m going to try something new and dedicate every Friday to post what I’m currently crushing on. Over the past few months, I have a new found love for black and white stripes. Clothes, shoes, weddings, home decor you name it and it just makes me happy. I’m all about color but there’s something about the simplicity of black and white stripes that just speaks to me. It’s classic, timeless and modern all at the same time.

My favorite GIRL parties – first half of 2013

Last week I shared my favorite BOY parties so far this year – check it out here. Now, I’m excited to share my five favorite GIRL parties for the first half of 2013! {I know it’s already August so I’m a bit late!}
It’s beyond hard to narrow it down to five when there are hundreds of amazing parties out there but these just speak to my heart. I am a lover of bright, fun colors so it’s pretty obvious as to why these are some of my most favorite. So many beautiful and amazing details – I wish I had half of their talent…seriously. Don’t faint from the cuteness you’re about to see….be sure to click on the links above each photo so you can check out their parties and details in full!



Amazing, right?! I die over those adorable grass umbrella huts Lynlee made for her guests to sit around. The pink + aqua color palette from the Horses and Hairbows party makes my heart race. Pink, Purple and Doc McStuffins are just a few of my daughter’s most favorite things and this party just ROCKS. The beautiful sparkly details from the unicorn party are just fantastic. And last but not least, who knew a simple heart could go so far and the rainbow heart party looks so pretty + fun! Rainbow parties are always one of my favorites. Rainbow Summer Play Date

 
Every year I plan a play date in the Summer for Cami and her friends {and their mama’s}. Check out last year’s Watermelon themed party here. This year I went with a Rainbow theme – bright and fun just like Summer! The weather was beautiful and the kids had a blast! I setup small stations of games outside – small obstacle course, bozo buckets, sack races, water balloons and gutter soap boat races (Soap boat idea found via I Heart Nap Time here). The sack races were so fun to watch and water balloons are always a hit – can’t go wrong! I found the sacks at Party City.
Every year I like to pick a theme and decorate but use most things I already have from past parties. I decorated the wall behind the table with my go-to crepe paper backdrop – it’s so fast, easy and cheap. I had a few tissue tassel garlands made by Carmen of The Flair Exchange from Cami’s past parties which had all of the colors I needed, so I re-arranged them to make a rainbow tassel garland! We bought juice boxes in a variety of colors to go along with the rainbow theme – thanks Juicy Juice! 😉 We ate sandwiches and I made a rainbow fruit platter, rainbow veggies and also made white chocolate popcorn with rainbow sprinkles and of course twizzlers since they sell almost every color! 🙂 I ordered cake pops from Polka Dot Bakery and my talented friend, Ann, made the adorable rainbow cookies! Cami helped me dip grocery store cookies in white chocolate and added some sprinkles. We bought bunches of flowers from my local grocery store and arranged them to match the theme. The day before the party, I saw the “Today will be fabulous” free printable on TomKat Studio’s blog. It was perfect!
 
We ended the day with the always popular popsicles! The kids had a lot of fun and that’s exactly why I do this every year! Thank you to my photographer friend Ellie for grabbing my camera and taking many of these pictures! 🙂

My favorite BOY parties – first half of 2013

I LOVE parties. L.O.V.E. them. I enjoy going through my favorite daily blog reads and seeing the fabulous ideas of such talented stylists every day. It amazes me. Since we’re already halfway through 2013 (what the heck?!) I thought it would be fun to do a roundup of my five favorite boy parties I’ve swooned over this year. Be sure to click on the links to each party that will take you to their personal site so you can read and drool over all the amazing details because they are pretty fantastic! One picture cannot do justice all the time, thought and creativity each of these women put into their sons parties. My daughter is obsessed with TMNT so she thought that one was exceptionally cool! 🙂

I know there are TONS of other fabulous parties to share but these left a mark in my mind and I wanted to spread the love. Enjoy and be ready to gasp at the awesomeness.
