This past weekend my daughter and I had some fun crafting a few things for her upcoming Rainbow Dash themed birthday party. We made this heart banner using gold heart doilies I purchased from Shop Sweet Lulu. I just love ordering my party supplies from them – they ship SUPER fast, plus they are fairly local so I always get my stuff next day. Even better! I bought glitter card stock in rainbow colors from Hobby Lobby, cut out little hearts and adhered to the doilies using double sided tape, punched holes and strung some ribbon. Easy peasy and so super cute! We made this for her party but thought how fun this would be for some festive St. Patrick’s Day decor. What do you think? LOVE this – would be perfect to hang on a mantle (so wish I had one of those!) or anywhere, really! 🙂

One of my favorite clients contacted me about creating a simple rain drops and cloud baby shower invitation and I immediately fell in love with the theme. I initially made the baby girl version but had to do a neutral and baby boy theme to add to the shop as well!

 
  I’ve already been enjoying doing things I normally wouldn’t, looking at my phone less, designing more and just simply letting things go. I’ve been itching to find the time to create more for my business and my OLW this year is even helping with that. I’m simplifying by going back to only designing invitations {for all occasions!} and stepping away from party printables. My true love is designing invitations – especially for weddings so I am going to stick with what I love! SO excited – I’ve had a creative burst of energy that I was lacking in 2013 and am just so damn excited! I hope you will join me on my journey – I’ll be posting more regularly here – just short posts sharing my new designs. My husband has some amazing new designs he’s been working on exclusively for weddings that I can’t wait to share with you. I was on the ball and mailed out our Christmas cards early this year! Go me! I went with a simple look this year using black and gold featuring my favorite houndstooth pattern on the back. Glittery cards seem to be “the thing” this year and knew it was something I wanted to use for our cards. My sister took these photos of my daughter and I just love them. We usually take family photos around Christmas but didn’t get around to it this year.
