{New Product} Custom Wood + Fabric Wall Sconces

We recently finished our basement and my husband did 95% of the work himself – so proud of him because it turned out exactly like we envisioned. He made these two wall sconces that turned out perfect for our new space. You can now purchase your own set of sconces in our etsy shop! You choose the color paint and fabric style you would like – pretty much anything goes! Message us on etsy if you have any questions. Our basement color scheme is gray, yellow and turquoise and I just love how these look!

I can think of so many fun color + fabric combinations. These would make a perfect gift, too! You can purchase these in our etsy shop here. XOXO, m

Couples Baby Shower – Mint, Pink, Yellow + Coral

It’s a tradition with our group of friends to host a couples Baby Shower and I was so excited to co-host our best friends shower who are expecting a precious baby girl next month! We went with a mint, coral, pink and yellow theme and love how it turned out! The fun “Burgers, Beer, and Baby Talk” invite I found on Tiny Prints and ordered it right away! I know I make invitations but when you see something that is perfect – you just go with it!

I’m a big fan of using a clothesline as decor at Baby Showers. My favorite gal Rachel (*golden*) made three of the custom tees and the rest I found at Target.
I made the diaper cake and used headbands around each tier to match the color scheme. Found the cute little baby doll at Target for the top. Couldn’t resist buying the matching Johnson & Johnson products – I mean they were all in my color scheme – had too! 🙂 Our talented friend Ann made the adorable and delicious cookies. Kelly from Lillycakes made the funfetti cake pops using mint chevron straws from Shop Sweet Lulu. I found the perfect colors of carnations at my local grocery store and made little mason jar arrangements.

Simple but sweet and I love these four colors together. It was such a fun night – we can’t wait to meet the little babe-ski!! XOXO

Outdoor Painting Photo Session by Photography Studio 37

“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” ~Picasso

That quote was the inspiration behind our outdoor painting themed photo session with the amazing Ellie + Charlene of Photography Studio 37.  My daughter LOVES to paint – but I don’t let her do it as often as she would probably like because of the mess. She had the best time at this session and Ellie captured the most beautiful photos that I will cherish forever. Cami wanted to have a “paint fight” so I let her paint my arm at the end. Thank goodness for washable paint + wet wipes. Haha.  Get excited! Photography Studio 37 will be offering these themed sessions next month so make sure you “like” them on facebook to hear the news first and follow their breathtaking work! I cannot express enough how amazing these photographs are and the video just MELTS MY HEART. My husband was also at a loss for words. Such an amazing memory to have and SO worth it.

Ellie painted her easel the most beautiful robin’s egg color and I love the mason jars she placed around. The paint brushes I brought along are very symbolic to me b/c my husband paints our street signs with these. He has been so busy that he couldn’t come with that night because he was at home building signs to get caught up.I hope you enjoy these amazing photos – Ellie picked the most beautiful location and it was the most perfect cool evening. The wildflowers and sunlight were simply beautiful.
Love the shot Ellie got above of Cami’s reaction to her masterpiece! SO SO sweet.

I ordered this sign on etsy by Barn Owl Primatives to hang along with some of these photos. We’re {almost} finished with our new basement so I’m super excited to decorate with these beautiful shots of Miss Cami.
I hope you enjoy this AMAZING video shot by Ellie and Charlene – they did an incredible job. The music and the video pieces they captured of Cami just make me tear up every single time I watch it. (Which I’m not ashamed to admit is probably over 50 times and I have the song memorized.)

What do you think? I love the traditional and classic look to these invitations. I think it would also be cute to use the word “Blessed” for the top instead. XO, m

Blue + White Baby Boy Shower

It’s a BOY! My mother-in-law and I threw this baby blue + white Baby Shower for her niece/my cousin. My mother-in-law picked the colors, and did 95% of the planning and did such a great job. I’m in love with the baby rattle she made using fake flowers and pins. SO cute. We set it on top of the diaper cake I made for a fun centerpiece. She also spray painted twigs that she stuck in the white vases and added some paper birds for a fun and elegant touch. She also decorated using tissue fans and poms from Polka Dot Market. I made the “It’s a Boy” banner that hung from the sweets table.
The sweets table consisted of cupcakes from Sweet Dreams, cookies made by my talented friend, Ann, cake pops from Lillycakes and chocolate covered pretzels that my mother-in-law made.

My husband made the above baseball sign for the Operation Shower event last year so he just changed the colors around and I ordered this adorable printable sign to hang from the bat from Hostess with the Mostess. The Daddy-to-be is a big baseball fan and the colors of their room are navy and green so it will go perfectly in his new room.

Love how this turned out – she did such a great job! Congratulations to Rachel + Russ. We are SO excited to meet Baby W!!! XO, m

Cami’s Disney Princess 4th Birthday Party

Our little princess is FOUR! Can’t even believe I’m saying that. Makes me so sad how fast she has grown up but we are SO proud of the little gal she has become. Cami wanted a Disney Princess party — “All of them mom, not just Cinderella!” OK, you got it! 🙂 Cinderella is her favorite movie though, a close second would be Aladdin. All of the beautiful photos were taken by Ellie of Photography Studio 37.

After everyone arrived, the kids decorated their own crowns using gems, stickers, etc. I ordered the crown making kit from Shop Sweet Lulu and the supplies to decorate the crowns were from Michaels. All of the kids were asked to dress up as their favorite princess or superhero and everyone looked so cute in their little costumes!

Cami helped with SO many things for her party b/c she always just wants to help. She sat with me when I designed her invitation and I asked her what color she wanted for this and that and helped pick things out. The “theme” for the dessert table was that everything was displayed in order of the princesses going from left to right on the table: I even had Carmen from The Flair Exchange make her tassel garland in that specific order. (Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Tiana, Rapunzel)

For Snow White, I ordered apple shaped cake pops from Lillycakes. For Cinderella, Lynlee from Lynlee’s Petite Cakes made the most amazing fondant toppers for the cupcakes and I also ordered elegant piping on more cake pops. For Aurora, hot pink and yellow Gumballs were used from Polka Dot Market to signify Aurora’s “GEMballs” in Sleeping Beauty. For Ariel, I purchased red, purple and green sixlets at Party City and displayed them in a glass jar to resemble Ariel herself. For Belle, I bought rose lollipop printable favor boxes from Piggy Bank Parties on etsy to signify the enchanted red rose in Beauty and the Beast and filled them with Tootsie Pops. For Jasmine, Kelly from Lillycakes made aqua, black and gold Cake Pops for some “Arabian Nights” magic. For Tiana, delicious popcorn in Mardi Gras colors made by Oh Goodie Designs was just perfect to signify the New Orleans feel of Princess and The Frog. Lastly, for Rapunzel, Maria of Love & Sugar Kisses made the most perfect {and delicious} chocolate covered oreos using the popular sun image seen throughout the movie along with Rapunzel’s long braided hair. SO cute! The most beautiful {and super tasty} princess dress cookies I’ve ever seen were made by Sandy of Firefly Confections and more amazingly perfect cookies (crowns, shoes, stars, hearts and castles) were made by Flourish Sweet Shop. Cami’s cake was oh so pretty – made by Paige of Polka Dot Bakery. See my previous inspiration post for her cake here. Brittany from Edible Details made the gorgeous Vintage Frame #4 Fondant Toppers.

This will probably be the last year we have family and friends at one party so I decided to host it in the afternoon and have an “Enchanted Sweets Table” only instead of serving food. I like styling a fun sweets table for the guests but it often goes untouched b/c people are too full, etc. so this way it wold help eliminate that and it definitely did! Everything was gone – thanks to the handy little Take Home Sweet Boxes I made and encouraged everyone to fill up before they left. 🙂

Every birthday, I ask the guests to write a little note to Cami in a book, this year being Cinderella. I hope she enjoys looking back at these little messages someday when she reads these books to her children.

The best part? Cinderella made an appearance (and brought along Spiderman, too). Cami really loved Cinderella who read all the kids a story and played a couple games with them. She got a little scared of Spiderman but the boys had fun shooting webs with him.

Such an awesome day and so many fun memories! My favorite part of her party was when Cinderella arrived and asked who the birthday girl was and Cami yelled “Me, me, me!!” 🙂 Happy Birthday Camryn Jolee! We love you SO much!
Thanks to my sister, Rebecca, for taking the above picture of my little family. Thank you so much to our family and friends who celebrated with her and to the very talented businesses below who all blow me away with their talent!

Yep, the day after the party I grabbed a baggie in my car and was like what’s this? Oh just the cutest little wands, sunglasses, mustaches, etc. Oh well! 🙂

Wedding Table Numbers With Photos

Brides are getting clever when it comes to displaying table numbers for their wedding. One of my favorite ways is to incorporate your engagement photos. That’s what I did for my sister’s wedding a few years ago. It’s a great way for your guests to check out your engagement photos that they probably didn’t already see and also looks great with your decor.
My sisters outfit even coordinated with their pink + black wedding theme so they looked even better! All of their beautiful engagement photos were taken by Ellie of Photography Studio 37.
What do you think? You can purchase these table numbers in my etsy shop right here. XOXO, m
