Exciting News!

WOW! I’m beyond excited to share that last Friday was a very exciting day for me! One of my recent client’s July wedding was featured on one of the most fabulous wedding websites, Style Me Pretty. I created many of the paper products for their big day (invites/fan programs/menu’s/rehearsal invites/save the dates) and I’m thrilled that some of my products were featured in the blog. See the full post here. I’m just so excited for them and it was such an honor to work with Kalin – she was one of the most down-to-earth and sweetest brides I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Congrats Kalin + Brian!

In other exciting news, the twin girls zebra themed baby shower I styled last month was featured online at Occasions Magazine….see the full post here. Eeek! So exciting!! Thank you, Callie for featuring! 🙂
This past weekend I styled a shoot for my upcoming Halloween Collection that will be sold in my etsy shop as DIY printable files coming SOON! So excited that it’s going to be featured on my most favorite site sometime in late September. Will keep you posted! For now…I’ll leave you with this little sneak peek. Fabulous custom tee made by the sweet Rachel from *golden*.

Super excited I reached 1600 facebook fans last week! Woohoo! Are you a fan? If not click here to “like” my page to get exclusive deals and be the first to see new designs. Thank you to all of my fabulous fans, family, clients, etc. for allowing me to do what I love and helping create something special for your special day. XO, m

HWTM Launch Party in Wonderlandia

A couple of weeks ago my husband and I went to SUNNY San Diego to attend the Hostess with the Mostess Launch Party for their new site. Since we celebrated our five year anniversary in June, we decided to make a mini trip out of it and enjoy an extra day there.

I met sooo many people who inspire me on a daily basis. I was pretty much the new gal who didn’t really “know” anyone besides the fact that I felt like I knew most of them considering I’m a blog stalker, haha. I was able to lend a hand and help cut, glue and stuff swag bags for a few hours that afternoon before the party with many other fabulous, beautiful and funny party girls – Chris from Celebrations at Home, Lisa of With Style and Grace, Jessica of Modern Moments, Amy from Operation Shower,  Lindi of Love the Day and Victoria of A Subtle Revelry. It was so fun hanging out with you all and thanks for making me feel welcomed! 🙂

Now on to the party….it was FABULOUS, I got to meet JENN, and the tablescapes and styling was INCREDIBLE. It was so amazing to see one of her parties in person. The details were perfect and the flowers were out of this world!
Welcome to Wonderlandia…

Donuts have never looked so good, have they?!
Lisa from With Style and Grace
Chris from Celebrations at Home and Jessica of Modern Moments
Sweet Nancy from A to Zebra Celebrations
Amber from HWTM (she’s beyond sweet!)

The beautiful Jennifer Sbranti, Founder of HWTM

Victoria from A Subtle Revelry
A few other fabulous ladies I got a chance to chat with were Paige of Paiges of Style, Lynlee from Lynlee’s Petite Cakes, Jillian from Catch my Party and Elizabeth from Bump Smitten. I just love their work.

Oh, and there was a mini red carpet – so fun! This is my FIRST red carpet people….and probably my last so I should probably frame this baby! Hehe 🙂 Photo taken by Dan Fields Photography. You can view all of the fun photos here.

I had so much fun and I’m so glad we were able to go. My husband was a sport and tagged along with me to the event. Luckily there were many other guy’s there he could mingle with 🙂
Thank you to Jenn, Amber and the HWTM team for everything! Be sure to become a member to their amazing new site: www.hwtm.com. You’ll LOVE it. XO, M

Jamie + Mike’s Chicago Wedding

I had the pleasure of creating all of the paper products for Jamie + Mike’s Chicago wedding last month. The colors were fuchsia, deep red, eggplant and black. I just love when brides send me photos of my work and see how everything came together. I love the romantic, yet modern feel of everything. And um, her flowers? AMAZING. I wouldn’t expect anything less since she is a floral designer at Town and Country Gardens. Stunning. I think that’s the biggest and most beautiful bouquet I’ve ever seen! I love the DIY touches – added matching gems on her heels, LOVE the fuchsia rhinestones on the menu’s she added. Gorgeous touch! They had a smaller, intimate reception and she suggested I create the table numbers using the five Chicago Sports Teams. (Bulls, Blackhawks, White Sox, Bears + Cubs) I incorporated each team’s logo’s and added the modern swirly design you see on most of the pieces.

Congratulations Jamie + Mike! Thank you for thinking of me for all of your wedding paper needs! Everything looks amazing! XO, m

Brenda + Mike’s Wedding Sweets Table + More

Last month I styled a wedding sweets table for a couple who got married in June in Treasure Island, Florida and held their formal reception back home on July 15th. I created all of the paper products for their wedding and reception – invites, table numbers, escort cards, menu’s, signs, etc. Their color scheme was hot pink with lime accents and had a floral/beachy vibe to it. Everything was super cute! It was my first time making the Hershey Kiss labels and I just love how they turned out. I adhered a thick piece of lime ribbon around each of the jars and added a matching label. I pinned up the fuchsia satin fabric I purchased from Hobby Lobby and added a lime green ribbon/bow at the pick-ups.

Custom Banners + Spa Party

Below are a few adorable photos taken by the fabulous Chelsea Corinne Photography from a few recent newborn shoots using my custom name banners. I just love how they turned out and have had a great response from other photographer’s wanting to purchase something similar. These would be cute to hang in your child’s room as well for wall decor or across the front of their crib (until they get old enough to rip it down) 🙂
Choose from squares, pennant or circles in any style/color scheme.

I also created some food labels, cupcake toppers and more for a local mama’s daughter’s 8th birthday party this past weekend. It was a spa themed party with lots o’ sweets! Here are a few pictures 🙂 Love the tissue poms hanging from the ceiling! Looks like she had a fun party!

Happy Birthday Brynn, your mom did a fabulous job! Be sure to check out Becki’s super cute hair accessories shop, Frills ~ Pretty. Fancy. Fun.

Eggplant + Damask Wedding Sweets Table

Below are a few photos of a candy buffet table I styled last month. I also created everything paper – Invites, Programs, Table Numbers, Seating Chart, and more! Their theme was eggplant and black with touches of damask. Super elegant! I am friends with the bride + groom so we were lucky enough to attend the wedding as well. The candy table was a big hit! (They always are! So in case your a bride-to-be….you should consider it!) I also added my new watermark to my photos for the first time – isn’t it cute?! 🙂 {The bottom three photos were taken by Modern Image Studios} Congrats Jimmy + Melissa!

Stay tuned for another fabulous wedding sweets table I styled the night before this wedding! So fun! xo, m

Born to be Wild – A Zebra Themed Twin Girls Baby Shower

Last month, I styled a twin girls baby shower for my cousin. So fun and a little different. Zebra themed parties are definitely popular, but you don’t see them too often for baby showers. I knew I wanted to do something different than the traditional pastels. A special thanks to Chelsea of Chelsea Corinne Photography for taking these fabulous photos.
It was a couples shower with around 75 guests held outside on a very warm day – but the sun was shining so that’s all that matters 🙂
First, the SWEETS. I styled a full spread o’ sweets inside filled with the most PERFECT sugar cookies from Flourish Sweet Shop (I mean seriously, have you seen anything cuter?!) and yummy cake pops from Lillycakes. I made the cupcakes and decorated with cupcake toppers to match the theme. Ribbon is my favorite; it just adds so much — as you can tell, I used it around many of the decor pieces and my go-to cupcake stand. A few of the hostesses made some yummy cookies and whoopie pies for some additional yummy sweets. I found the pink and lime mirrors at Hobby Lobby that I used as the cookie platters. Super cute! I created a custom banner that hung along the front of the table and used a zebra patterned fabric I picked up from Hobby Lobby as well. OK, so enough talking already, right? Here are some pictures…(Click on the photos to view in full.)

My fabulous hubby (now named The Sign Guy! Haha) made the fabulous name sign. Super cute and was part of my gift to the parents.
I made the pomander ball by punching out paper flowers from a glitter paper and pinning them into the foam ball. Love it! I added it on top of a candle pillar I had from home and just simply added some ribbon for a fun (but very time consuming) DIY. 🙂
I purchased a photo tree from UMA – Urban Materials + Accessories. (As seen in Oprah Magazine — go check out the site – really fun and modern decor, etc.) I designed little matching cards for the guests to write a little “Well Wish for the soon-to-be Mommy + Daddy” to hang on the “tree”. Thought it was fitting and kind of a feather their nest sort of thing.  Turned out super cute!
Outside, we hung a clothesline across the pillars. My gift to them was the zebra themed outfits (minus the heart onesies) that I purchased from the fabulous AMK’s Boutique. So cute, right?! Love how it turned out. The home where the party was held is absolutely beautiful with a stunning pond and landscape. I decorated the white tent with parasols, paper lanterns and tulle. The little zebra’s I handcut and placed inside the flower planters are probably my favorite little detail. 🙂

How cute are the Mama & Daddy? Congrats Chrissy + Danny! Can’t wait til the little girlies arrive!
All of the DIY Party Printables you’ve seen, as well as the sign are sold in my etsy shop! You can view the invitation here. XO, m

Off to San Diego….

Eeek!!! I’m SO excited! In about 12 hours my hubby and I will be heading to sunny SAN DIEGO to attend the HWTM Launch Party and enjoy a very mini vacay. I cannot WAIT to meet many of the ladies who inspire me on a daily basis and see what Jenn has in store for what is sure to be an amazing styled party! Hopefully I don’t come across too stalkerish when I walk up to someone and say hi – as I don’t think anyone “knows” who I am. Haha.  🙂
Be on the lookout for the full blog post later next week. Catch some of the details about the WONDERLANDIA themed party here.

Cami’s Sunshine + Lemonade Playdate

I’ve been meaning to share this fun playdate I hosted at my house for my daughter and her favorite little peeps (and Mommy’s) 🙂 It was such a fun day! I submitted this party to Pizzazzerie’s Summer Stripes Tablescapes Contest. I didn’t win but you can view the fabulous winners here.
It was a super chilly day here (was planning on going to the park in our subdivision) but we made the best of it! 🙂 I feel like I am always working, but I am also always trying to include my daughter into what I do. As soon as Courtney from Pizzazzerie announced she was having this contest I knew I wanted to give it a shot but had literally no time as I was in a complete June Wedding Season coma, as I like to call it. I knew I didn’t want to just have a party for no reason so thought of having a playdate and went with it 🙂 One of my mama besties came over the night before and helped me wrap water bottles, hang banners and create cupcake toppers 🙂
On to the good stuff….the PLAYDATE. Here’s the invite I emailed out….all of the kids were dressed in orange/yellow/green! It was super cute! Since Summer is almost over, I plan to sell this collection in my etsy shop next year with some extra’s 🙂

I purchased most of the decor and goodies from my local Dollar Store or had it laying around in my party stash. Orange striped napkins, straws and striped cupcake wrappers I bought from my favorite party store, Shop Sweet Lulu.

I love this color scheme! So summery and neutral 🙂 I forgot to take pictures of the food but I served PB&J, Mini Turkey/Ham/Cheese on sweet rolls, green grapes, carrots, and lots o’ sweets! 🙂
My favorite part – 🙂 I made stripes on the cupcakes using sprinkles.

I striped grocery store sugar cookies with M&M’s 🙂

My daughter is the super silly gal in the middle 🙂

My friend’s pretty baby….we matched perfectly 🙂

Thanks to everyone that came! My daughter had a BLAST playing with all her favorite pals 🙂
