Princess Cake Inspiration

I met with Paige of Polka Dot Bakery last week to discuss Miss Cami’s cake for her upcoming birthday party. If you don’t already know, it’s Disney Princess themed. I’ll be sharing lots of Princess related things over the next several weeks. 🙂 If you missed her invitation reveal yesterday, check it out here.

 I went to my Pinterest boards and started sorting through my favorite cakes I’ve pinned to give Paige some inspiration of some things I would like on her cake. It will be bright and fun to go along with her theme. Cannot wait to see what she comes up with!

 Here’s the beautiful cake Paige made last year for Cami’s 3rd Birthday…

Cami’s 4th Birthday Party Invitation {Disney Princess Inspired}

Tomorrow marks one month til Miss Cami is FOUR. FOUR?! I cannot even believe it. When you’re pregnant, everyone tells you to “cherish every moment because it goes by so fast.” Well believe it and know it because it’s SO true.

Cami helped me create her invitation this year. Well, she sat on my lap and picked the colors, etc. and she thought that was pretty cool. I’m pretty sure she’s been asking if it’s her party yet for the past six months. 🙂 This year Cami chose Disney Princess for her theme. I love how this invitation turned out. It will be available to purchase in my etsy shop real soon.
I’m a big fan of using a photo of your child on their invitation. This photo was taken of her at Halloween when she dressed up as Cinderella and worked perfectly.
We’re so excited for her party – even Cinderella + Spiderman are making an appearance! Can’t wait to share more details with you soon! I’ll be sharing lots of sneak peeks on Facebook and Instagram so make sure you follow me there! 🙂 Which Disney Princess is your child’s favorite? Cami’s is Cinderella and when I was young, my fave was Belle. XO, m

Northwoods Wedding Save the Date

I had so much fun creating this two-sided Save the Date for my dear friends. Their gorgeous engagement pictures seen on the card were taken by Ivy Impressions.

I love the Zak Brown Band song lyrics they picked out to go inside the circle on the back. Their wedding will be in Northern Wisconsin – think outdoors, woods, vintage + classic all in one. Cannot wait for the wedding! I’ll be sharing more fun paper elements from their big day later this year. 🙂

Congrats, Steph and JL!! XO, m

My “About to Pop” Baby Shower invitations are the most popular invitations in my etsy shop! So I decided to offer them in a variety of color schemes. Check them out below….which is your favorite? The pink, coral and gray so far is the fan favorite. I just love this theme – you could carry on the “pop” theme throughout your party with balloons, popcorn, bubbles, etc. Matching party printables for each color scheme coming SOON!

Kids Valentine’s Mailbox Craft Idea

 Since my daughter’s preschool does not allow food or candy of any kind, it kind of limits what the kids can exchange for Valentine’s Day. I decided to get mini mailboxes in the dollar aisle at Target and filled them with stickers. Cami picked out Princess stickers for the girls and Toy Story for the boys. I made a little matching tag that says “You’re maily cool, Valentine! Look inside, let’s stick to being friends!” Get it…”stick” as in stickers. 😉 Simple but a little different and the kiddos can keep the mailbox to decorate next year.
What kind of Valentine’s are your kiddos doing this year? XO, m

Morgan’s Under the Sea Mermaid Party

I’m so excited to share with you this darling Under the Sea Mermaid Birthday Party by one of my awesome clients. Her mama always has so many creative ideas for her parties and does such a great job putting it all together. I just love the activities for the kiddos – Pin the Fin on the Mermaid and a crown decorating station!

I designed the invitation and matching party printables using purple, teal and aqua along with the always fun chevron pattern.
  You can purchase this invitation in my etsy shop here.

Isn’t this tee made by the talented Rachel of *golden* just beyond perfect? Beautiful photo of the birthday girl taken by Emme Elle Photography.

Check out some of the fun party photos below – even Ariel came to visit… 🙂

I just love these colors together. Amazing job, Alicia! What a lucky little girl to have a crafty mama like you. Thank you for sharing your awesome party with us and for being one of my most favorite clients! Happy 3rd Birthday Morgan! XO, m

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?

With the Super Bowl this Sunday, I’ve been browsing online for some fun ideas and came across these simple but perfect cupcakes on Pinterest and of course, had to share with you. Hop on over to The Baker Chick to download the recipe! Don’t they look delish?!
 {source}
So who do you want to win? 49’ers or the Ravens? I have to admit, I basically enjoy the Superbowl for the party and the food – not watching the actual game. Ha! XO, m

Valentine’s Day Decorating

I did a little Valentine’s Day decorating in our dining room using things I already had laying around. I love the simplicity of it.

Our last name begins with a “K” – it would be cute using an X and O as well. Those sweater vases were from Crate and Barrel last year. LOVE them.

 Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day? I know it’s just a “Hallmark holiday” but I just love it. XO, mLinking Up:
